Galaxy Digital, together with Jump Crypto and Multicoin Capital, is preparing to launch the largest-ever Solana treasury worth $1 billion — a bold step to strengthen Solana's ecosystem and future adoption.

In a major development for the crypto ecosystem, Galaxy Digital has officially partnered with Jump Crypto and Multicoin Capital to create a massive $1 billion treasury fund dedicated to Solana (SOL). This collaboration aims to provide long-term financial support and infrastructure development for one of the most prominent layer-1 blockchains in the industry.

Solana, often praised for its high throughput and low transaction costs, has grown rapidly over the past few years. However, with increasing competition in the blockchain space, securing significant capital reserves could give Solana the edge it needs to maintain its momentum. The fund will be used to incentivize developers, support infrastructure growth, and ensure liquidity across key platforms within the ecosystem.

Mike Novogratz, CEO of Galaxy Digital, noted that the goal of this treasury is not just investment returns, but also ecosystem stability. “We believe Solana has the potential to rival Ethereum in performance and adoption. This treasury is a commitment to that vision,” he said during the announcement.

Multicoin Capital and Jump Crypto bring deep expertise in decentralized finance and long-term capital deployment, making them ideal partners in this mission. Together, the firms plan to ensure that the fund is used strategically — not just to boost short-term hype, but to build sustainable and scalable blockchain solutions for the future.

The $1 billion Solana treasury initiative has already garnered global attention, potentially setting a benchmark for how institutional players can support public blockchain infrastructure in meaningful ways. If successful, it may also influence similar treasury formations for other blockchains looking to scale with strong financial backing
