NVIDIA, one of the world’s leading technology companies, announced a strategic investment of USD 683 million in Nscale, a company that previously specialized in cryptocurrency mining but has since pivoted to focus on artificial intelligence infrastructure.
According to reports, the investment will be directed toward building advanced data centers powered by NVIDIA’s GPUs, aimed at supporting the growing demand for generative AI, machine learning, and high-performance computing.
Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, emphasized that AI represents the “new industrial revolution,” and the partnership with Nscale will accelerate the creation of next-generation cloud and edge computing infrastructure. By transforming Nscale’s existing mining facilities into AI-optimized data centers, the project aims to maximize efficiency while repurposing hardware for a booming market.
Industry analysts note that this move reflects a broader trend of former crypto companies reinventing themselves for the AI sector as the profitability of traditional mining continues to decline. For NVIDIA, the deal solidifies its role not only as a hardware provider but also as a major player in shaping the global AI ecosystem.
